North West UK processing training
Hi
I’m looking at options for professional training in. North West England, starting later this year.
The main providers in the NW are Ravenair (Liverpool), Aeros (Leeds East), Westair (Blackpool) and Merseyflight (Hawarden Chester).
Aeros seems to be the biggest player with the biggest reputation, but that comes at a price.
Ravenair also seem to have a good reputation and are middle of the road price wise from what I’ve seen
Merseyflight are smaller and cheapest, but is that a concern? I don’t know…
Westair dont have any twins so that kind of rules them out…
What are peoples thoughts and opinions on who is best to go with? Merseyflight seems best price wise, but do they have a reputation that will get you a job at an airline? Am I best going with one of the bigger schools (Aeros or Ravenair) to give me a chance at an airline job?
Thanks

Havent flown with any but visited Westair and know people who have flown with Aeros. One step at a time. Dont worry about Multi yet. Often a smaller operation can be more flexible. You get the same license as everyone else. Then its down to networking. Are you really able to move anywhere in NW? Id suggest the larger cities may be better. Its your money so definitely visit before you plan. And have a plan b of course...

I’ve spoken to a few people at my flying club who’ve started professional training within the last 6 months. One started with Aeros at Leeds East but has had a bad time so far, partly weather related but also because they want a dual license and availability of dual instructors has provided really difficult at Aeros apparently.
Ravenair I’ve heard not great things either…I’ve heard they’re struggling to cope with demand and I’ve heard of people making very little progress from one month to the next.
The best vibes I’ve had so far are from Merseyflight so it’s them I’m hoping to train with.
