Flying hours transfer between different licences? (PPL)
Hi,
I am currently pursuing my PPL training in Australia (CASA), and I have about 10 hours logged, hoping to go solo soon.
However I will be moving back home to Europe in the next few months and will be looking to complete my PPL licence there, since that is where I have to right to work and live. Question is whether the hours I have done here in Australia will be recognised as part of my PPL EASA training in Europe? Will the 10 hours count towards the minimum 45 hours needed to get my EASA PPL? Or do I have to start from 0?
Any help much appreciated.

Hello Moss, people more knowledgeable than I will be along with more authoritative answers before long, but in general, as long as your training records are good, you should get some credit for training you have done. Make sure you have your training record, personal pilot logbook, perhaps with certification of its logged flights by your school. In any case, have records from the school, not just your own...
