Question Extension of ATPL Theory Results under ORS4 1488

I have a query and would be grateful for your help.

I sat my last ATPL(A) exam at BGS with Austro Control in Feb 2020. I am currently training for a dual UK CAA and EASA licence at a dual approved ATO in the UK.

I have had confirmation from my ATO that the CAA will accept my EASA theory exams until their expiry date (Feb '23 under Part-FCL.025(c)(1)(ii)) for the issue of a CPL.

CAA ORS4 No1488 (I am not allowed to post link but you can google it) has been brought to my attention which states:

'd. All candidates whose theoretical knowledge examinations validity period under FCL.025(c)(1)(i) and (ii) spanned the period of 19 March 2020 and 31 May 2021 are granted an additional 6 months to the standard 24 months for a non-commercial licence, or 36 months for a commercial licence, instrument rating (IR) or en route instrument rating (EIR), to complete their flight training hours.'

It's my interpretation that this extends the validity of my ATPL(A) theory to Aug '23 for the issue of a CPL/ME/IR.

I would be grateful if anyone else could confirm if they believe this to be the case too?

Also, do the exams have to be transferred from EASA to UK CAA?

I have contacted the CAA twice but not yet received a response.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't checked the source but the way I see it is if your exams were due to "expire" validity wise between March 2020 and May 2021 you get the extension. I would assume because of the various Covid lock downs.
If your exams are going to expire in Feb 2023, I'd crack on with the flying. I wouldn't wait another second for the CAA's response.

No idea re your 2nd question.
