Atpls Expiry date

Hi guys , just a question, is there any way of postponing the expiry of the atpls ,

Which ATPLs? UK CAA? EASA? CASA? Rarely are extensions given from what I have read over the years. Others may be able to advise, but usually you'll need to appeal to the relevent agency.

apologies i am in possession of easa atpls which expire in december 2023, thus wanted to ask could i do part of the next initial training which stops the expiry of the 36 months i.e CPL MEP

Nope. Depending on what you are using them for their validity is anywhere from 24 months to forever.

There's nothing you can do to stop the clock. If you're running out of time or money try to get a single engine CPL/IR.

Extensions (if at all) are based on operational necessity, and your circumstances would not fit the definition.

Check with your authority. The CAA have granted a 6 month extension due to Covid for ATPL exams. Mine should have expired this month but have been extended until april next year
