Brexit transition training query- UK/EASA

Hi everyone, I've got a UK/EASA licensing question for a CPL/IR:

• I'm a student pilot with UK ATPL theory exams (sat prior to 31 December 2020).
• I paused training due to COVID but am looking to go back soon to get my CPL/IR.
• My flight school is currently an EASA approved ATO, and will be getting UK approval just in time for 31 December 2022.
• There are delays at my flight school so it's looking like I would finish my training after 31st December 2022.
• So if I went back to training now, I would complete part of the training under the EASA system up until 31 December 2022, and then the remaining part of the training under the UK system after this date

'After 31 December 2022, neither training in the EU system nor exams taken after 31 December 2020 will be accepted in the award of a UK licence.'

Does this mean that training under EASA prior to 31 December 2022 will or won't count towards a UK licence gained after 31 December 2022?

I have just completed my MEP/MEIR/CPL with an ATO for a UK licence. I did my training in Poland.
Personaly I think its a bit of an impossible question to ask at this time..
However...
I would put my money on big problems being caused with ukcaa if your training bridges the cut off at dec 22.
If i was in your position i would find somewhere to crack on with it asap and not risk future problems

It means you have to have completed the exams/ skills tests by December 31 2020 and then use them to apply for a UK license with the UK CAA by December 31 2022. I know a couple of people who did, for example, seven exams under Austro before the deadline and got the UK to recognise them, then did seven exams at both Austro and the UK CAA (so 21 in total) to get full exam passes with both EASA and the UK. Taking a skills test or exam today is not transferable between the UK and EASA or EASA and the UK.

Going to EASA is different to going to the UK remember. EASA states set their deadlines as December 31 2020 (and months earlier in some cases). I've heard of quite a few difficulties people have been having actually as EASA member states have interpreted things rather differently, usually to the candidates detrioment. Other people on this forum are far more expert at this than me though.

December 2022 is over 12 months away. It's crazy to suggest a CPL-IR should take that long. Doing it full-time should take far less time. I know some guys at a fairly big school who are doing it in 3-4 months, and that's in a place where they are struggling with a shortage of IR instructors (just like the good old days!).
