Distribution of questions

Hey folks

When looking for EASA's distribution of questions (from each of the LO's) for each exam in the ATPL syllabus, I noticed there was an amendment decision in 2018, as per attached. I noticed that (in the attached Annex) for AGK the no. questions from Electrics jumped from 6 previously to 14 now, which is a huge jump so it appears there are some material changes which warrant a change in study and revision tactics. It appears that the attached is referring in general to the new syllabus changes so I'm hoping that the amendments to the question distribution which are detailed in the annex are only applicable to the new syllabus exams. Does anyone know or can anyone interpret the attached better than I?

Thanks

The electrics did go up to that total, while automatic flight control was reduced slightly. This is because some schools weren't teaching electrics at all based on the fact that there were so few questions. This was done before the new syllabus was implemented.

Are you sure it went up for exams on the old syllabus? I just cross checked my exam booking for POF (H) which is next month and I'm on the old syllabus, and the duration is 1 hour, whereas in the annex I attached above it's been changed to 1:15. So if that duration change hasn't happened for my aforementioned exam, perhaps the question distribution changes aren't applicable to exams on the old syllabus?

All I know is that there were questions at least 2 years ago.

I've given up on EASA changes - my view is that if you know your stuff it doesn't matter
