Afta Modular

Hello everyone.

I am thinking about starting my CPl/IR at Afta flying school in Ireland (Modular).
I was wondering of any of you have any feedback or any experience about this school?

Thanks a lot, appreciated.

Usual advice: visit the establishment, speak with the staff, and most importantly speak to the customers/students.
No large payments up front. Research ‘Cabair’. Caveat Emptor.

Given the C-19 tsunami, timing will be of the essence; negotiate a sizeable discount given the semi arid conditions with no jobs for junior birdmen for an unspecified number of years.

Ok, thanks for your advice. Yes I know what I'm getting into with covid and crisis, but I was already a little committed to my training and want to do it anyway instructing for some years if needed, I wont be in debt after my training. So you think the conditions are ok for a discount, because schools have maybe lost some clients.

Not only lost some customers, but very few will be arriving.
Unfortunately not all ATOs will survive, despite the bullish talk from marketing depts.

Invariably customers will loose money, as sudden but not unexpected closures will occur.
