Easa type rating and IR renewals

I have an ME IR rating which expires 30th of June. I'm also starting a type rating course which is scheduled to finish before end of June.

Does the type rating skill test include an IR renewal, or does this need to be done additionally?

My MEP class rating is expired (last IR renewal was done in a sim) if that makes any difference.

Are there any other licensing surprises I should expect?

This is EASA by the way.

Once you are EASA holder you need to renew your IR after 30th of June, Type skill test usually not including IR renewal just ask your Instructor our ATO managers, some of ATO accept to make it free when you doing type rating with them.

Good Luck !!!
