Pilot CV's

Dear Wannadooders or even Pilotdooders,

In order to prop up the flailing Royal Mail, No Consignia, No Royal Mail I am considering sending out a few CV's for the hell of it. I know the general message is keep it to a single page but I was wondering if someone would mail me a copy of what the may consider a model CV which I can adabt for myself.

many thanks

MJR

Have a look at the OATS website for a sample CV and try the Flight International site for advice on covering letters.

Cheers For the tip Professor. Worth looking at.
I'm assuming you only include a covering letter when responding to an advert.
Thinking of helping out the post office as well. If for no other reason than to fill my empty booze ridden days.

NO !! Covering letters should go with everything you send out.

Obviously a different one is required for a speculative approach compared to a response to an advert !!

As a former chief pilot, I always liked to get a covering letter whether I had advertised or not. Just explain in simple english why you are writing and no bulls++t or padding. A 1 page CV with personal details, licences, experience, referees and show why you meet the company requirements. Check spelling and make sure I can read it! Some peoples hand writing is so bad that on occasions I couldn't make out their address.
Don't grovel or volunteer your services for free!

Do a search on CVs here. There has been some interesting and very good advice quite recently.
