I think there is a bit of confusion on here. First question: are you trying to convert FAA cpl ir mep into EASA ATPL Frozen which means ATPL theory credits + cpl/mep/ir-mep and MCC? Second question: Is your FAA cpl endorsed with me add on? Upon your answers we could give you a more or less precise infos regarding what you need to do in order to convert your faa licenses in easa land.

Hi and thanks for Replying...
And yes exactly I want to convert them and obtain an EASA ATPL frozen.
i understand that I need to do all the ATPL theory and i'm working on it wright now , the confusion is the requirements besides the theory tests.
I have only 290 hrs total and yes my FAA CPL is endorsed with ME add on.
with thanks...

There are new requirement in regards to PIC hours and XC hours. From what I gather, EASA no longer recognize PIC dual received, only "actual" PIC.
In short, the EU trying to protect European flight schools from American competition, and thereby a whole lot of students over at the same time.

Hey there.
I'm also doing a conversion of a FAA-CPL/IR/ME into EASA ATPL Frozen. My process was made according with the flights that students have to do according with EASA Schools. Well, this means that the flight school here in Europe gave a look at my logbook and compared all my XC hours, Night time, etc... With the syllabus of an EASA Student. As I have more than an EASA Student gets at the end of his/her license i just need to do 15 hours on a SE and then If im not wrong 5 on a ME. This is the easy part.
The worst part are the 14 shame of exams we have to do. EASA is robbing pilots to do these theoretical part. Im saying robbing, like stealing money and time. There are captains with ATPLs that need to go through this process. I dont know what is the EASA goal. Im just doing this conversion because i had to move to Europe with family, i would rather stay in the U.S. Aviation there is a different world. Dont take me wrong or as a rude, i also have a lot of aviators friends here in Europe, just all this complexity does not make any sense.
Know i am like a kid who went back to kindergarden and needs to memorize answers for exams, and the worst, most of the answers are wrong on the exams and they dont let you look at your exam after you made it.

The FAA is the exception rather than the norm on this one.
