Aeros Flight Training

Hi,

I'm looking to see if anyone has any recent experiences of Aeros flight training at Gloucester or Coventry for the ME CPL and IR.

Any feedback would be great from people that have been here and where you are now.

Like flyme19 I would also like to hear from anyone who has had experience with Aeros Glos. I am looking to start my PPL and would value any advice for this and other schools.

Excellent flight training

To reply to both of the comments posted, I completed all my flight training at Aeros from PPL all the way to the instructor course (ppl,cpl,IR). Where Aeros differs from those others flight schools is that your a real individual at not just a number which can be the case at many other flight schools. They bent over backwards to cater for my own personal needs which was tailoring a commercial pilots course whist I still maintained a full time job. I started off with a 30 minute trail lesson back in 2005 and now I'm just about to become a captain at one of Europe's biggest airlines. I could recommend them highly enough! Go and visit them for a look around the facilities and then book in for a short flight!

Visited Aeros last July as part of my research before starting flight training this July...

Would agree with the post above... i was there all day, very helpful and just a great bunch of people (old school ways of doing things)...

Hi..

I have successfully completed all my training with aeros after being recommend to them by a friend.

I did my CPL at Coventry and the my MEIR in Gloucester. I do believe they can offer MEIR training from Coventry too now.

I can not praise them enough, well maintained aircraft and excellent instructors. All instructors and The management were extremely helpful and would always go out of their way to help you and cater for Inparticular needs. You are treated as an individual and not just a number.

Everyone is their to help you.

I really enjoyed my time there and I believe there reputation is know pretty well known in the industry. I now fly for ryanair and I know of at least 5 other people who also fly for Ryanair who trained at aeros.

In my oppinion there is no competition, modular or integrated..

I took a colleague of mine down to Gloucester Aeros to do his MEP rating. We both were impressed not only by the professionalism but the great friendly atmosphere. Staff are motivated, they enjoy working there and I'd recommend them to anyone thinking of doing any kind of training as they definitely make the whole experience a good one. I hear very good reports about the Coventry base and I'm thinking of visiting them sometime soon as we have both been invited to visit them with a view to my colleague doing his IR there. After some experience of working at other, much vaunted and highly marketed, branded schools I can say that a positive and friendly attitude is something that these companies lack as a rule. A good working environment with good morale among the employees leads to a very good and positive training experience for the customer whatever industry it is.

What did you think of the Tecnams for you IR?

Sorry can't comment on Tecnams as I've not flown one yet. As for the MEP & IR we used/will use a DA42. I have a lot of time on these and love them.

ive got about 6 hours on tomahawks flying from aeros in tollerton (Nottingham) and theyre great, either genuinely nice people or good at hiding their impatience at amateurs like me. but what do i know ive not even soloed yet

I did my CPL, MEIR and ME at Aeros in Coventry this year and couldn't recommend them enough. Flexible, friendly staff and plenty of available aircraft also helped greatly.

As far as the Tecnam goes, I thoroughly enjoyed it. They may not be the most reliable of aircraft (yet) but they have enough weird and wonderful traits that make it fun to fly. It's hot in the summer, cold in the winter and if you're short you can probably forget about it as the pedals are so far back you won't be able to reach them and be able to move the yoke. It can also make the lightest of turbulence/wind feel like your in the eye of a hurricane but that just adds to the fun. A single engine ILS in a healthy headwind can also feel like the longest approach of your life.

Get yourself to Coventry, you won't be disappointed. They also have some well constructed benches outside to sit and do some plane spotting.

hi, I'm going to be heading over to Aeros Coventry over the summer and the staff so far have been very helpful. Good first impression. Also, being 6'2" tall, its good to hear that the Tecnams have a lot of space for me.

in going to be doing PPL+NR with them and fitting it around my part time job. I still have to meet with them to understand how the course structure can be tailored around my busy working/studying life but I feel very optimistic about my prospects with these guys.

Re Tecnam reliability - I was personally involved with ZOOGs first 600 hours at Wycombe and it was very reliable with only a couple of snags in that time.

Most of the flying was MEP ratings and renewals.

You will enjoy it!
