Hi People,. . Is it possible to do a Distance Learning Course for the ATPL exams and do a full time job at the same time, or is that just too much ??. . Happy Landings ..... . Lee

Yes but it will take you longer.. .You must be disciplined and signed up with a good school.. .You have 18 months from when you first attempt a JAA exam. Start this clock ticking when you are ready and time will be the healer on your side.. .You will receive many posts from others who will brief you on the rest of what you need to know. ie buyer beware etc.. .My short comment will set you off.

You will take longer.Just have to be disiplined. You have 18 mths to pass all 14 exams from the date of your first sitting.4 attempts at any paper.6 total sittings.A sitting is classed as Mon to Thurs.. .You must have proof of attending a JAA approved course. Most courses split the exams into two sittings with a two week brush-up before each.. .Must pay for all 14 exams when booking....£718. . and £37 a resit.

It is possible, most distance learning courses will require that you do about 15 hours study a week. So it really comes down to how hard your job is, how many hours they demand of you and how well you can motivate yourself.

Cool

Would agree with earlier replies. Is definately possible if you want it bad enough.. .I'm working 24x7 shifts for the emergency services and still finding time to study.

Thought it was 18 mnths from first PASS to finishing with all passes with no more than six exam sittings though <img src="confused.gif" border="0">
