IR renewal in sim and class rating in aircraft
I did my class rating renewal in a PA 34 but my IR is lapsed and I'm about to do this in a SIM. What is the general view. I know it would be better to do this in the aircraft, but my thoughts about the current weather and hire cost kind of puts me off......any suggestions ???

Tayflite Aviation tel 01738 550003 or www.tayflite.co.uk operate Seneca II-200-Turbos out of Scone airport, Perth, Scotland.
They also have an FNPTII fully approved sim for Approved and non-Approved IRs.
You can renew your IR in this sim, and renew your class rating on the twins as reqd.
I did my IR there and I thoroughly recommend them.

I just did the test and passed ! phew, however this was at the old 4 forces at Cranfield.(Crew Concept). Things seem to be ok and they gave me all the paperwork I required. How do I log this in the log book and do i need to send the whole licence back to the CAA. Thanks for the advice folks I've saved a few bucks doing it this way !
