I have an MCC exemption from the CAA. You have to have 500hrs + working in a two crew environment on an aircraft that is certified for single crew operations. I also had to send in a copy of my companies SOP's to show that we had two crew procedures and a letter from my employer to confirm this.

Daygo when was that? My situation is exactly what you have described. (SusiAir) so we fly caravan but company approval is for two crew ops only.
Thanks for answering!!!

I applied and received my MCC exemption in October 2012. I was amazed how promptly the CAA dealt with my request.

Pleased I could help.

Im amazed the UK CAA replied at all! I have sent them numerous emails on the matter, only to receive an automated response saying their email turnaround time is 18working days (thats nearly a month). Do you know who you contacted and what forms you had to fill in? I have 650hours on a multi-crew jet, so shouldn't be a problem, just need to get it done!
