300 HRS PILOT WITH A TYPR RATING Vs 1200 HRS PILOT WITHOUT.
Hello Guys,
Forgive my naivety, but which will have an advantage over the other, a 300 hrs pilot fresh out flight school with a B737 NG type rating or a Pilot who instructed and achieved 1200 hrs?
I am looking at the preference by the regional airlines, hence the pilot who has 1200hrs does not have any jet time experience vs the 300 hrs pilot who has a rating, assuming of course the regional airline has a fleet of B737 NGs.
Taking into consideration the hiring polices of most regional airlines in the current global best practice.
Will the insurance for the 300 hrs pilot with a type rating be lower, compared to a pilot who has 1200 hrs, without a rating and any jet time experience?
Starting pilot training come Nov, just double checking the CFI Vs the Type rating quagmire to boost my marketability.
