Aerosim Academy
Good day,
I am considering attending Aerosim in Sanford, FL. I was wondering if anyone here is a current student or CFI there and would be willing to answer some questions I have. Any help is greatly appreciated.
1. Are the aircraft well maintained?
2. What is the general morale like? Are the students/staff/instructors happy? 3. If a person becomes an instructor, on average what sort of ME time is normal per month?
4. Overall, would you recommend the school to someone looking to stay and instruct under a F1 visa. Are there some red flags to be cautious of?
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
I went to school there afw years ago now and have been back a few times. It is a very well maintained school, they have a lot of aircraft ( my guess is around 60), it is quite expensive when I was there but I think the instruction is top notch (you have manuals similar to airlines) there are ads of instructors and loads of planes, they don't skim on maintainace, cancellations for maintenance is pretty much unheard of. As for ME time, Multi engine instructors are e most senior instructors typically, the school used to have a contract for instructors (1000 total 100 ME) and you typically got the ME just before leaving, not sure if that's changed but I doubt it, instructors are hard to come by in America right now so they try keep them as long as possible.

Squall1984,
Thank you for the informative reply especially details regarding the good maintenance. My goal would be to instruct after finishing off the CPL and ratings. I will talk to them regarding contracts.
