Cockpit4u

Anyone has experience with cockpit4u in Berlin? It appears their former students all get good jobs with operators like WizzAir, Air Berlin, and so on.

Thanks,

Jeroen

Just a quick question, is there a way of paying in instalments for the Type Rating at this place? It seems like a good place from the feedback.

Hi again,

@mohit: if you can't really afford a self sponsored typerating DONT do it. Its still a bit of a gamble to get a job afterwards...

Also I dont want to talk about contract details of C4U, sorry!

@kerropi: Possibly, but nothing is guaranteed, a fact I can understand as long as they dont know my flying skills.

However I'll keep you informed

Hi to all!

Right now I am waiting for my base training. I finished my skill test at the end of MAY, and we donīt know (my parners and me) the dates of the base check.

This is very disgusting.

APPCH, can you confirm that this week is programmed any base training in Spain? It will be perfomed by Vueling?

Thankīs a lot

Yes, 5 weeks and 1 day. You can see the course dates on the site. 3 weeks groundschool plus exam and then 2 weeks of simulator work.
Base training obviously 1 day after successfull checkflight. (Within 6 months of the start of the training)

A320 type rating at Cockpit4u

Tnx for the info.. are 2 weeks of sim flying enough? It sounds strange when compared to the 31 days of flying at intercockpit where all the ground tuition has to be completed at home using CBT.

Well, it depends how many hours of sim you get at Intercockpit.
The groundschool CBT can be completed at home, but my guess is there are more classes to sit at the facility.
C4U gets you 48 ffs hours in total. Including 3x4 hours of ELT in the A330.

What about accomodation when doing a rating at Cockpit4u? Is it very expensive and far away from the school. Thanks

Ok, accomodations can be arranged upon request.
435 per month, incl. so you need to pay some more than that for the 5 weeks plus 1 day.
Arwobau has appartments all over. Its about 15 minutes drive from C4U to the Ringlebenstrasse 2 in Berlin. They say there is good public transport but I'm going by own means anyway so it's quite near.
You can enter there 24h a day, 7 days a week.
Check
You can check the distances within google earth or here
This all is info given to me by C4U, but a mate of mine verifies this since he was there earlier this year.
