Question Airshow

Hi all, I was just wondering how many of you out there remember the program that BBC 2 ran about 1-2 years ago entitled 'Airshow'. I am interested in getting hold of the tapes because as some of you may recall they followed a number of BA cadets through selection and onto line training. As I am going to be attempting to join BA in the near future these tapes could give me some kind of insight into the kind of people they are recruiting etc.

I am prepared to pay for these tapes so if anyone has any suggestions then I would be most grateful.

LE.

The programme was a re-run so its likely that they'll do it again. It was very good. The look on the cadets face when he took off from Prestwick in a 767 (or whatever it was) was unmissable.

Keep a look out. If I find anyone with a copy i'll let you know.

I know of people in the past (ok admittedly normally school teachers) who have phoned the BBC to ask for copies of a certain series - and the majority of times the BBC have been very accommodating. Might be worth a phone call or very polite letter? If you have any luck let me know!

Cheers matey.

Talking

I think that guy was in an A320, and yes, the programme was great, especially that episode...He looked s**t scared for about 10 seconds, and then the smile just got wider...
I'll be there soon enough!

Anyway - if you have any luck getting the tapes, get in touch and tell me where you can get them, as I would also like a copy!

Regards

Mike

Well lone eagle, I've justed finished looking at the BBC website, and found a page about finding out if a tv show if available on video, and airshow isn't. The page also says that if it isn't commercially available, the bbc can't help due to copyright laws etc etc!

So it looks like you need to find an aviation enthusiast who taped the show and will lend them to you!!

The bbc page was:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/info/progs/pro_b.shtml

You might want to have a look in case I missed something!

Cheers all, just had a look at the BBC site but no luck there although I could give the BFI (link from BBC site) a go. Well I have not got much time for searching at the moment as I have important exams to revise for but as soon as they are over I shall begin the search anew and then let you guys know what I find,

The search goes on.....

Try and find the name of the production company and contact them. Be prepared to shell out a few quids though.
