Thanks for the heads up.

Any idea on roughly how many applications are sent each year?

I also submitted an application for the PPL Scholarship!! Can't wait to hear back!! Once (and if!) I get anything back, whether E-mail or letter, I'll let you guys know!!
What did you guys put for the flying experience part? I put 6 hours training down, surely this wouldn't preclude me from getting an interview would it??

It was not too bad mate, I thought it was really hard answering the questions in under 100 words!! I've got 15 hours logged with 1.15 hours solo. I've heard it's really tough so fingers crossed. Good luck everyone

Nothing heard yet! However, I looked at the GAPAN website yesterday and it said something like 400 applications have been recieved most of a very high standard, and the "sifting" process had begun! It said all correspondence would be via email and we'd find out by 18th April by the latest!! Be sure to check your junk mail folder people, and Good luck!!

I'll ask for feedback, hope it doesn't take too long for them to get back.

spicejetter,

I can guarantee you from personal experience that you are talking bollocks.

Where are you getting your information from?

Ekk,

I'd have to agree with you.

Spicejetter, from what I've read and researched about GAPAN, it seems that they would be more willing to provide those without the means of acquiring licenses with a scholarship.

GAPAN will assess your class and social status
Does the software used have 'superannuated class warrior ****' box in the social status question?

GAPAN will assess your class and social status. If you're not upper middle and above you will be lucky to get in. If you are upper middle and above and didn't get through then better luck next time.
Lol. They will assess your IQ...maybe therein lies your problem?
