Thanks for the heads up.
Any idea on roughly how many applications are sent each year? |
When can we expect to hear back about PPL Scholarship applications please?
|
43 applications last year for the FI, 5 scholarships awarded, thats some good odds!
|
I submitted an application for the PPL, looking forward to hear from them. Ram, what was you your application like.
|
I also submitted an application for the PPL Scholarship!! Can't wait to hear back!! Once (and if!) I get anything back, whether E-mail or letter, I'll let you guys know!!
What did you guys put for the flying experience part? I put 6 hours training down, surely this wouldn't preclude me from getting an interview would it?? |
Yea, ill keep you guys updated if I get an email from them. Good luck Delta.
ps. I put down 0 hours but since then I have logged 3, where are you from ? |
It was not too bad mate, I thought it was really hard answering the questions in under 100 words!! I've got 15 hours logged with 1.15 hours solo. I've heard it's really tough so fingers crossed. Good luck everyone
|
hi guys,
Anyone heard any replies from Gapan? |
Nothing heard yet! However, I looked at the GAPAN website yesterday and it said something like 400 applications have been recieved most of a very high standard, and the "sifting" process had begun! It said all correspondence would be via email and we'd find out by 18th April by the latest!! Be sure to check your junk mail folder people, and Good luck!! :D
|
I just received a reply (not shortlisted, unfortunately). Good luck to the rest of you.
|
Got the bad news..
It was my second attempt with a very strong and good motivation letter.. I don't think I will apply again.. Now working hard to save every penny for a PPL.. |
Just good the bad news aswel. It was my first time applying. If you dont mind me asking what advice did GAPAN give you?
|
Same story here, didn't make it, well done to those who did.
|
Advice?
They wish me success to become an airline pilot :) Not really an advice though ;) |
I'll ask for feedback, hope it doesn't take too long for them to get back.
|
spicejetter,
I can guarantee you from personal experience that you are talking bollocks. Where are you getting your information from? |
Ekk,
I'd have to agree with you. Spicejetter, from what I've read and researched about GAPAN, it seems that they would be more willing to provide those without the means of acquiring licenses with a scholarship. |
GAPAN will assess your class and social status |
