A320 Pan am or Aerosim
I have a question about the requirements in both school..Part 61 requirements
What is a Part 61? i like to enter the A320 rating if my time is enough on this type, I have a 150hrs on cessna 152, Multi engine 50 hours (9 seater), IR. total fight time is 200 in all. can i take the A320 on this time?
how many hours needed in PArt 61?
if i get the Pan am i will enrolled the Full ground school cost of $9 to $10K, bec. i have a below 500 hours.
thanks
i'm holding a CAAP license.

Did 747 @ PanAm, bout 10 years ago.
It was miles better than Aerosim@ the time
I had an ATPL and 5000 hrs.. I should think
at a minimum you'd require a frozen atpl

Welcome to the Wannabee forums.
The reason that you are not getting the replies is because I suspect you have not given enough information.
What CAAP licences do you hold at present? PPL, CPL, ATPL?
May I also suggest that you do more research including Googling FAR Part 61?
In the meantime I'm closing the thread - send me a PM when you have the answers.

Philippines is one of the best places to get a job right now. Why pay for your rating without anything concrete in hand?
Try Zest Air, AirPhil and the likes. Convince them to offer you a job and then and only then pay for your TR.

Dont know why you are asking regd Part 61 since as far as I know type rating orgs are under Part 142 i believe of the FAA FAR. In basic flight training you either go thru Part 141 (usually accredited schools that are authorised to do their own checks e.g. Flight Safety) with an approved FAA syllabus or the the Part 61 used to apply to the less stringent modular schools.
I too am considering Aerosim for early 2012 after a long search (they used to be Comair BTW) since they are tops in the CBT/sim prep business and their syllabus is more geared towards first time jet training.
Why dont you contact Julie at Aerosim (their A320 specialist) to see if your experience is acceptable to them.

Just wondering if anyone went to Aerosim? I'm looking to go there within this year too. Hope to get some information from those who have experience in training (or involvement) with Aerosim. Thanks!
