Help ref. FAA training but moving to Oz.
Good morning all,
Sorry if I have posted in the wrong place.
I'm moving to Australia and will be looking for work this side of the world.( end game is to fly for an Airline)
Training in Aus. Is a lot more then what it costs in the US. I'm thinking of doing a pro pilot course. (I really don't want to be an FI.) I already hold my ppl. I have thought about Oxford Aviation due to a program they run with Jetstar.
Would you recommend that I stick with us studdies. And gain my atpl state side or change to an Aussie school?
Many thanks,
Dominic.

australia is a bit funny when it comes to FAA-CASA conversion. Best to find a flying school/club and get your licenses there. Then take it on from there. You will meet people, learn how things work in Oz. Almost 80% people I trained with had to move up north or do FI course and stay within the GA system for several years before moving into big aircrafts.
Enjoy the flying, its fun and sometimes boring.
