I've been offered a job as an FO on 747 classics but I have to pay for my type rating. Does anyone have any reviews of PanAm in Miami for the TR? It's either them or Flight Training International which is way more expensive.

Thanks

As he is doing it in the US at either pan am or flight safety, I assume doing it in UK is not an option, also it would be a lot more expensive.

In my opinion if the company who offered you the job don't care where you get it go for panam. Why pay more out of your own pocket.

I assume he got the job by working as a pilot for a number of years until he had the required experience to apply for a 747 job that was advertised.
