Bonus or stapleford

Hi all

Looking for any advice on bonus and stapleford.
The headline price at bonus is very attractive, but after a bit of digging you need to add on about another 5k. They have a lower pass rate than sfc, and older a/c, with sfc using da42's.

Bonus is a little bit cheaper, but should I fail the ir it would be rapidly more cost effective to use sfc due to cheaper hourly rate they offer.

My brain is telling me go to stapleford, use the da42 and the ir will be slightly easier, but my heart says I should do it on steam cockpit!!! Aaarrrgghh the choices!! Any recent students got any feedback on these schools? How much did a cpl/ir/me cost you at these schools?

Many thanks in advance.

1. i dont know anything about bonus but went to sfc not for me did only cpl , might look cheap , went to southend for t and g , on one flight it was an hour i think and 6 or 7 t/g , it was 4 years ago , cost of t/g alone at roughly 20 quid 140 plus arrow hire fxxk it was expensive had to do it a few times.cpl first time pass
2. they make you m/e on seneca 5 hours min some guys 6 to 10 , i decided not for me , if you a slow learner you are in troubled , i decide to do me and ir on same aircraft did ir me on time and budget at another school. me ir first time pass
3. i did my ppl and hour building flying in and out of control zones , could not get my head around not talking to anyboby, uncontrolled
4. if like being shouted at and told you a fxxking stupid fxxker when trying to concentrate you will feel at home there
5. easy to pass, i suppose flying over kent examiners tend to go this way the majority of time to avoid stastead luton and gatwick and london, no matz crossings , uncontrolled only london information. also external part time examiners

all the lads i met there were very friendly and nice , relaxed atmosphere, instructers friendly , but in business 10 percent of customers will leave you and go else i was one of them, high pass rates and the majority of students like it and have agood time there and da42 awsome machines

Just remember going to SFC you have to fly to cranfield for the test and to practice the IR routes....so extra costs.

Atleast you will save by being at cranfield already and actually meeting the examiners on a daily basis as most of them go to bonus for a chat.

I found Bonus really good very friendly and I felt it was more of a family vibe going on there and you will get looked after.

I completed my IR conversion in 20 hours 5 more than the minimums so I was happy.

so far it would seem bonus is winning on the more enjoyable place to study.

I'd say SFC was excellent- I'm actually one of the lads on their 'meet the students' section of their website.

I also heard that bonus is good too- especially for the IR what with them being at cranfield. The approaches etc at sounthend when you do it at stapleford do add up for sure, but if I had to do it again, I'd chose stapleford again.

Anyone could let us know the prices that actually cost ? (everything included , with an average of hours, not minimums)

Regars,
