ICAO Level 4? (question)
I have a JAR-FCL issued from UK (FATPL) and was woundering what ICAO Level it is on my license. It says language proficency: English. What level is this at?
I applied for an airline couple of weeks ago and they e-mailed me back and want a document of my Level 4 english.
This is what they said! level 4 English language proficiency or/and statement from National CAA that at least English Level 4 has been granted when appropriate entry in the license is missing (e.g. UK license cases)
Any help would be appreciated

i had the same problem even though im level 6, i still needed confirmation of this in writing from the caa.
email pldlanguage @ caa.co.uk and ask them to scan and send it back to you through email.
mind you it takes a while so put pressure on them and say you need it for an upcoming interview.

It seems to me that you current endorsement is simply the grandfather rights one which basically is there to buy you time (max March 2011) until your English Proficiency is "formally assessed" at one of the test centres approved by your CAA. So if the interviewer is asking for proof it means it's time to get formally assessed. Hope that helps.
