Stand to be corrected, but yes - just you won't be able to use it for anything other than an extended PPL to all intents and purposes....i.e. there is no benefit in doing so if your long term interest is commercial flying, you may as well get the class one and CPL first

Sounds about right from Clanger.
I would add that if you aim to fly commercially, it would be (in my mind) very stupid to do your expensive ratings on a class 2 to later find you have a minor medical problem that prevents you from getting a class 1.

Hi Guys!
Thanks for the quick response. I will be joining EFT. Just planning the process out as I am from india. I have to travel to gatwick for medicals and from there to US.
I have cleared a mock class 1 & 2. Will schedule one in gatwick asap.
