FAA medical (Class 3) - foreign AME
When getting a Class 3 medical from an AME, do you have to specifically request a student pilot licence? Or is the medical certificate the licence?
Also, if I get my medical from an FME outside the US, will there be any issues when I start my training there? I read some older posts where students were having issues with Class 3s from foreign AMEs.
