Grrr J-1 V!SA : Any Latest Information ?

I have emailed several flight schools having the authority to issue/sponsor J-1 Visa.
But I have reached replies from only 1 flight school i.e Ari Ben Aviator

All the replies showcases vague images whether the J-1 Visa is about to get terminated by Dec 2009 or not.

I would like to ask you guys that is J-1 Visa services surely gonna get terminated at the end of this year ?
If I apply for it now, then will I get it within 35-40 days(before its termination date) ?
Can I get J-1 from any other agencies or companies who might sponsor me other than my flight school ?
After the termination of the J-1 Visa, what will happen after the period of 24 months, as its period expires, do we have to shift on to F-1 or any other visa ?
Will J-1 Waiver be applicable ?

Please if you have any crucial / latest information about it, please share !!!!

NOTE :
@Halfwayback : This is NO Repeat Question & PLZ DON'T BAN ME THIS TIME

If you have finished training at one school and they do not have any vacancy for you, you can transfer to another establishment within the 24 months to build your hours, provided the proper paperwork is done with the US immigration authorities.

as its period expires, do we have to shift on to F-1 or any other visa ?
No, you don't have to, but if you wished to continue in the US, you have to find out then whether you fit into any of the other visa categories.

I would like to ask that the flight school is going to charge me $3000 for the whole process, this is what they said in their email :

Code:

I have emailed them several times after that but they didnt replied....
So, can I make the 130$ payment now for the TSA & visa etc stuff & later on pay the 3000$ just before joining the flight school for enrollment (Joining Date : June'10) ?
So, shall I apply for the J-1 Visa now ?

Presently, I can't get any info's from Ari Ben Aviator, cause their both the websites are down.
I have emailed them & they said J-1 would be replaced by F-1 starting in 30 days, but not sure.
Bristow Academy finally replied & they said J-1 would be replaced by new visa, but they dont have the details from the govt.

But, even if the got accepted for F-1 will that help me do any better ?
In "old" F-1 Visa, I can work 20 hours "on-campus" only per week.
If I want to do flight instruction & also do some sort of college study in BBA,BcpE,others at the same time, then J-1 was just about the perfect solution.
But F-1 is......

Dunno, if what's the "new" F-1 visa all about....
BTW,if I apply for J-1 will I get it cause I still have 46 days remaining....

Exclamation Ripanrocks J1 - F1 visa questions

I have recently received an email from my flight school confirming that the J-1 Visa have already been stopped in USA .
My only viable option is to obtain a F-1 Visa. This is email they sent me yesterday :

Hello Ripan,
The option for Visas would be an F1. This will allow you once you get all
your ratings in the Pro course to work as an instructor for for 1 yr only.
There are no more J1 Visas, that is stopped as of December.

When you are ready to enroll please fill out the application of enrollment
and Visa form. Please make sure your Visa form has your has your full
complete name on the application. Also you will need to make a $3000.00
deposit in our Pay Pal Account .The deposit will secure your enrollment
date. We have a link for this in our website http://www.flyaviator.com,
under the deposit online button. We need 2 weeks notice before your arrival.
If you are flying in please go to Orlando International Airport or Palm
Beach international Airport. We will pick you up at the baggage claim for
that flight. Typically, the school is open Monday through Friday so please
try to schedule arrivals within that time frame. Need any other information
please refer to our web site or just give us a call any time. Any changes to
Visas that have already been issued will be charged a $200.00 administration
fee.

NOTE: Flight fees are estimated for planning purposes only. FAA
requirements, fuel surcharges, and other uncontrollable factors may result
in adjustments to these fees prior to or during the course of the academic
year
I would like to ask people who have already got their F-1 Visa & might have worked on as Flight Instructors after their training.
I would also like to ask that can I do flight instruction & also take college training from a recognized college in Computer Engineering, etc at the same time ?
And yes, how can I change my F-1 status to another work permit visa for the USA & also study at the same time ?

Ripan, you have so many Visa questions, that I suggest you contact the US Embassy in your country and ask them; they are, after all, supposed to be the experts.

Cheers

@ripanrocks:
Just an answer regarding your 3000USD question. At AriBen your 3000USD will be applied into your account after you start your training. So the money is not lost.
Why they charge you 3000USD is most likely because they have only a limited number of F-1 Visas to give out. They want to make sure that you really start your training with them!
Otherwise a lot of people would just pay the TSA fee...apply for the visa but never use it. That means no business for the school but a lot of paper work.

As it seems to me right now...every J-1 school will be offered to have the opportunity to use F-1 visa as an alternative.
You can apply for a J-1 Visa until the end of the year but you must start training latest in June 2010.
According to Ari-Ben I think they have just decided not to give out J-1s anymore and replace it with the F-1 already in December
