Hour Building/Log Book Question

I hope someone can help me and this hasn't been asked too many times before, I used the search function but couldn't find exactly what I was after.

During PPL training you're expected to write down the exercise numbers and navigation waypoints in the remarks column of your log book so that the CAA can check you've completed everything/flown the necessary distances for the QXC etc. Are there any similar requirements for the hour building, is there anything that I should be keeping track of/remarking in my log book?

Many thanks in advance.

No, nothing needed like that for hour building, just your name as PIC for the flight.
As for the QXC, you can note that in remarks as it will help the CAA identify the flight when they check your log book for licence issue.

it is nice to write down things you did when you went flying. e.g stall's, general handling, circuits, instrument flights, routes etc (in the remarks side) the more and more hours you get you will not notice how much you have got better and better in doing so.

when someone asked you when did you do stalls last you get tell them!!!

if i do a nav, i write down the rout. if im doing general air work i write down what i did like stalls, pfl etc.. the same goes for my approaches like SE NDB etc..

its also good to have a note to employers can see what you have been up to and its also a way of remembering the flight at a later date.

I do like flyhighspeed300 and Nashers; I use the "remarks" column to record details of the flight that don't "fit" into any of the previous columns. For instance, whether it was a NAV flight and if so, the DEP and ARR airfields in plain language, the "via" waypoints if these were navaids or other airfields for instance, T/GOes if any (to expand on data recorded in the "take-off" and "landing" columns), etc. Likewise, if I do any specific exercise (ILS approach, flapless landing, etc.) I will record it there. Once you're licensed, I don't think there is any legal requirement as to what you can ad in the remarks column.

When I fly professionaly, that's where I mention the flight number and any specifics; i.e. line check, CAT II approach, visual approach, go-around, etc.

Cheers
