ME / IR Renewal in Spain - realistic time and cost
Hi all,
Just researching the realisitic time and cost for my ME IR renewal - I have seen some stuff for doing this in Spain (Aeros, Aerodynamics etc) and the potential cost saving.
Last time I was quoted in the UK it was around £2.5K for a renewal in the aircraft (and yes, it has to be in the a/c as this is my second renewal)
For those that have done it, is there any real cost saving in going south? As its a renewal, I am not too worried where its done.
Thanks

What does the £2500 you've quoted include? I guess its some sort of package including some sim time, a couple of hours brush up on the aircraft and a test? It sounds a little steep.
How current are you? If you are in recent flying practice, I would suggest an hour or two refresher in an aircraft, followed by the test should come to about £1500 ish. (3 hours twin hire, examiner fee and approach/landing fee's)
Have you shopped around a bit in the uk. Just a thought.
