P-T! hello mate, how the hell are you? more to the point, what are you doing up in sweaty land? Thought you MCR based?
On whether or not OAA or FTE have the approval to run MPL courses, I would rather think that you could fairly safely say that neither org, for all their good and bad points would be so bloody stupid as to advertise it - and FlyBE would certainly not be stupid enough to participate in it - if it were not approved. It may be that this approval is agreed but has not made it's way through fully, but I would be amazed at the brashness of any of the three orgs if it weren't agreed.
That said, a simple call to the CAA will cost you pence, so for the peace of mind it would give, perhaps not a bad idea at all!

"Dear" EK,
please note that the dark side of the moon is only a holiday home for me nowadays, and you're most likely to find me at the front end of a Q400 on a week day...
I still maintain what I've said in my previous post.
Regards.

MPL or not MPL, who cares?
the problem is to find the $...to pay for an MPL which will go to a .
some have tried wit tbis kind of training, and have lousy failed.
you dont train a Boeing pilot like a PA28 pilot? it s much more complicated and very expensive.
it's the end of OAA.

5 Rings,
I take your point that I'm not a flyBE insider when it comes to recruitment. To be fair, I never claimed (or pretended) to be.
However, my point that there are more than a few question marks against a £71,000 outlay are also just as valid. There is no recruitment, there is a holding pool, we are in recession and the MPL is unchartered territory.
I do genuinely wish all who apply and get the nod all the best. With a bit of luck you'll get your 1500 hours, ATPL and the hostie too!

in the current climat, being a 200hr wannabe is not a good idea...
if that was the situation I was in, I'd rather spend money on a scheme with an airline tag stuck on it.
After all this MPL scheme doesn't really come any more expensive than an integrated course in the same FTO...does it?

why would you fail a check ride?
Are you in a better position with a fATPL and no employer at the end?
How wannabes actually try to get jobs on SE/ME pistons?...seriously

Yeah cheers guys.
Holiday Inn is fully booked, so I am staying at The Holt Hotel.
Not sure saying the place is haunted is the best form of advertisement, but seems nice and very good value.

Simon,
Yeah, Im going for stage 2. What date is your assessment?I've been invited over for June 8th/9th. Checking out hostels because they're the cheapest. Oxford Backpackers Hostel is only 28quid for 2nights and right beside Oxford Train Station. Sweet!
