Calling all CABAIR students!

Hey Cabair trainees,

Whats happening at Cranfield re: the Diamond star and twinstar engine issue. Are they still going to continue using in future. Are you guys worried about any effects to training. Any replies greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
airbuslit.

Last I heard Thielert were apparently going back into business to build engines, but Diamond were still going ahead with plans to build engines for the DA42 themselves. An owners group has got together to put legal pressure on to resolve the issue of having no spare engines or spare parts for the engines.

I assume that once a clear resolution is made Cabair will make a final descision on what to do, like all the other DA42 owners. However I have heard people using Cabair call signs flying DA42's in the local area...
