ATPL Military Bridging - Employment friendly?

I am looking at starting my ATPL exams before leaving the military and qualify for the Military Bridging Package (Fast Jet not Multi Engine so still 4 exams to sit). I have heard rumours that some Airlines prefer potential employees to have done the full set of exams. Can anyone advise if there is any truth behind the rumours?

It has been true in Hong Kong, where the DCA convert JAA exam passes to HK exam passes. If you haven't sat all the JAA exams their beurocracy doesn't allow them to be converted and a local license issued. As far as I know untrue anywhere else, but I stand to be corrected.

Many thanks. I've been looking into things, am I right that I have to get my IR within 36 months of passing exams otherwise I would have to re-sit? Once you have your IR, does it lapse quickly, ie what is the time pressure to gain a job?
