Renewal of JAR PPL with Multi Rating

I'm moving to live in Spain will I be able to do my annual revalidation tests with a Spanish instructor/examiner or am I bound to return to the UK once a year to do my test?

Title = Renewal.
Thread = Revalidation.

Sigh.

With a Spanish instructor, NO. With a Spanish examiner, Yes.

I'm assuming that you have done, or are doing, the written examinations - so wo why not wait until you do your CPL and/or instrument rating and renew at same time?

Why therefore are you posting in the section tittled "Professional Pilot Training"?

Yes, my understanding is also that any suitably qualified JAA examiner can sign you off on your reval. If unsure, phone up the CAA.

( Rhetorically wondering what's the point of the smartarse replies )
