And what exactly would OACI stand for?

Any ICAO PPL is acceptable.

Hi Irish Pilot
I was just wondering if you absolutely need a course conversion to convert your OACI PPL into a JAA PPL to start the ATPL in UK , like it is the case if you have an OACI CPL+IR... that's it
So you confirm you don't need any conversion course?
Thanks for your time
Cheers

That depends on what OACI is.

According to Wikipedia, OACI is an "evangelistic ministry", British charity based in New Zealand, so if they issued you a PPL, I doubt you can convert. - If OACI is some Civil Aviation Authority, then it depends if they are an ICAO member.

In short: If you tell us the state of licence issue, we'll be able to tell you.

Any ICAO PPL is fine and I happen to know that the Moroccan is definitely acceptable. I worked there and my JAA CAA accepted everything Moroccan.

good luck! IP
