Australian ATPL theory exams

To complete the Australian ATPL exams do I have to hold a full commercial license, or am i able to attempt the exams after completing all of the commercial theory exams?

Thank you - Dave

Dave,

All you need is a pass in the CPL theory subjects. You have 3 years from when you attempt your first exam to complete all ATPL subjects, and your ATPL is 'frozen' until you satisfy the aeronautical requirement ie hrs.
Check out the CASA website for a more specific run-down
