ATPL - Exam results delay

There is a rumour going around my FTO that the Gatwick computer that marks the ATPL exams is broke and the results will be delayed.

Is this a wind up. ???

I have only enough finger nails to make it through to Wednesday

Its nice to know that the service you receive from the CAA is second to none for the money you pay to sit the exams .

it's cool, that UK CAA changed to £63 per exam, during some JAA countries don't take a fee at all if it JAA ATPL exams

10 working days will be this Friday.
But I have it firmly in my mind that normally they turn up electronically at the schools around the Wednesday and arrive soon after by post.

In the scheme of things its not a big deal, just not got enough finger nails and finding it real differcult to concentrate on next chunk of course

I think I have an acceptable selection of virtues, unfortunately at this time patients is not one

Just put some effort into it, you will look at the volume of work to take, and think it's impossible. Just keep on at it, and it will be over before you know it.

It's not as hard as you think.

Took a gamble and started my IR, the day after my last exam, so managed 25 hours of the IR already.

Congratulations Coodem!

I bet that feels like a weight lifted.

How are you finding the IR?

IR, well for the first week, I thought it was impossible
after the 2nd week, I feel a lot more confident, and starting to feel I have a chance of actually doing it

Coodem, don't worry about it mate, everyone feels like that. Just remember when you have finished your IR you will be at your peak of ability for instrument flying, then it is all down hill from there .

Had a funny experience the other day, flying out of Amsterdam from 36C. There is no SID from that particlar runway. ATC asked us to climb straight ahead and intercept the 316R outbound from SPL, and the Captain said to me 'how the **** are we going to do that?'. I laughed and said, 'I guess we will have to use this VOR rose thing?'.

Congratulations to all that have passed their ATPL exams, flying to look forward to now .
