Extra cost to have MCC put on licence?

Was just looking through the CPL licence application form and noticed at the end that they ask whether or not I have an MCC. If I apply for the licence before my MCC course, will I then need to have the licence updated again afterwards, at cost?

Yes I saw that too. The answer is (apparently) you get a certificate and it doesn't go on the licence.

Your MCC does not go on your license, just do the course and keep your certificate

CAA only need to see the MCC cert when you apply for your first multi pilot type rating-not before or after this time
