Quite a few different points here....
Most high blood pressure, once controlled, is not a problem. If yours is hereditary, and responds to medication, I suspect it falls in that category. And none of us, high bp or not, know what will happen health-wise in 20 years.
You don't yet know if you'll like flying! Sorry, but it's all in your head so far. Get a Class 1 medical, get a PPL, then reassess...everything!
35 is not old! There are numerous threads on here....I'm 25 and too old, I'm 48 and too old, etc etc. And then there are all the people who get jobs at every age. I've heard of over 50s getting airline jobs occasionally, and I qualified as a helicopter instructor and got my first job at the age of 54. So for the sake of your sanity - and possibly your blood pressure too - STOP acting as though you're in a race against time.
Flying for a living is not the same as flying for fun. However much you love it, once it becomes a job, sooner or later that's what it is...a job. When you find yourself delighted that you don't have to fly because it's your day off, you might start wondering....
But the bottom line probably is that you shoud do it for the same reason that I did - you don't want to end up at age 70 thinking..."If only...", and you rarely regret the things you've done in life, only the ones you haven't.
For the record, I love what I do. But I've taken off the rose-coloured spectacles.
