Leeds Flying School & Cloud 9 Aviation

Does anyone know what is going on at leeds flying school? When you go on to their website it comes up with cloud 9 aviation. Have they been taken over? Does anyone know anything about cloud 9?

Cloud 9

Wasnt there an outfit called Cloud 9 going to do CPL/fATPL courses in Czech a few years ago? I seem to remember the guy behind that was from the Leeds area.

Haven't LFS recently had their JAA approval suspended?

Any body with any more info?

LFS are still listed as an approved FTO.

http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/SRG_FCL_APPROVEDFTOS.PDF

I was in there the other day and they were still selling approved courses and the instructors were still instructing for approved courses and the aircraft were still flying for the purposes of approved courses. Please PM me if anyone has any more info.

Thanks.......

You are right to check the CAA list of approved FTO's but bear in mind that things take a while to get updated and flow through their systems. I seem to remember a few years back when Naples temporarily lost their approval for not having a JAA CFI that it took a while to flow through the system and the list get updated.

If anyone is concerned then best to get on the phone or email the CAA direct and put the question to them.
