turbine training
My son is looking into helicopter training schools, and we noticed that there is a Van Nevel turbine training school in FL. Is there any advantage to piston training before turbine training? Is the Van Nevel helicopter any good? I have heard Bell copters but have really no knowledge whatsoever in aviation. If the ultimate goal is to fly commercial turbines, wouldn't it be a significant time and cost savings to start that way?
