Read up on navigation techniques and learn your checks/drills off by heart.

Good luck

Can you tell me what are "checks/drills"? Please bear with me. I am newbie here and also in the aviation field. I am planning to go for CPL.

Checks like "FREDA" (Fuel, Radio's,Engine T&P's, Direction Indicator, Altimeter setting) and Emergency Drills such as engine failures.

If this sort of thing is commited to memory then it gives you far more "mental capacity" to actually fly the aircraft.
