I would second that. I dropped by a couple of years ago to enquire about renewing my IR; they found the time to show me around with no notice and did a very reasonable quote, I was offered 20 minutes (free of charge) on their FNPT II before I made up my mind The practice sim session and IR renewal took place just 2 days later! Very professional outfit.
Good fleet and pass rates; Wolverhampton is quite convenient as a training location.
Cheers

Have trained with them in the past, and found them to be excellent.
Well done to Malcolm & co, for building up the place to what it is
Edited to say: Has Mike Robbins gone? Heard he had - great guy

I'm currently doing ATPL theory, and this school is one I'll look at when I am done. I haven't looked into schools a huge amoount yet and will look at their website later, but can anyone give me advice on how much a CPL 25 hr course cost them.
Has anyone been here to convert a FAA SE IR to a JAR Multi IR, if so how many hours did they take? I have a valid MEP class rating.

Why not do it on a Twinstar anyway? The MEP will be valid on both "types" then, conventional AND diesel.

IR Renewal
Considering doing my IR renewal at Flight Centre (havn't flown for couple of years never mind IFR!! Gulp!) anyone done this recently on the Twinstar? Any feedback / thoughts? What routes did you fly? Was this recommended by them or could you choose yourself?
Thanks in advance.

Nothing unusual at the Flight Centre, lots of IR revals and a few renewals come through. They should see you through alright.
They also have access to a nicely refurbished and repainted Seminole if you prefer and this costs the same as the TwinStar.

Thanks for the reply.
I think I will try the Twinstar as I quite fancy a go, and the Garmin looks like it might be a good help. Presumably they have the Garmin on the sim? (I could call and check I suppose) In the meantime I am trying to get used to it on FS X.........
Was more interested in what routes were commonly flown from Wolverhampton, i.e. what departure, airways, dest, & divert? Anyone care to share their experiance. Doesn't need to be just revals, let me know if you did initials there aswell.
Many thanks.

The sim is an Alsim 200, which has PA34 and PA31 models loaded. It is a procedural trainer in the end so there's not much cop in switching between the two.
For a reval, I guess it will probably be whatever Phil or Malcolm choose.
For the IRT it is what Cpt Clifford at Bristol chooses, which is usually a small handful of fields in the vicinity of Bristol.
