Wolverhampton Airport Flight Centre NEW DA42

The Flight Centre have just purchased a brand new DA42 Twinstar which will be available for multi engine CPL and IR for a very competitve rate.
Recently did my PPL, CPL & FI there and the place was excellent. Brilliant atmosphere and fantastic instructors. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone!
They offer loads of courses including PPL, IMC, Night, CPL, IR, FIC and MCC
You can contact them on 01384 221456 or have a look at website www.hgfc.co.uk

Cool The Flight Centre - Wolverhampton

Hi all,
I have been milling around the threads (and searching! ) but cannot find recent views on The Flight Centre, Wolverhampton Airport.
Looking to do my CPL,IR and probably FI with them, just wondering if anyone has any views, recent experiences etc etc......
Many thanks in advance!

I am sufficiently impressed that I travel a 260 miles round trip to do my training. It is well worth it.

I have only flown a few hours with them a while ago, but I was nothing but impressed at the quality of service, friendly instructors and tuition, and would highly reccomend them if you are thinking about training in the mids area

They've generally had a good reputation for many many years now. Another example of a small unglamorous FTO providing excellent training at prices much keener than those marketed by specialist departments at other FTOs.

Good luck,

WWW

ps ALWAYS, refer to it as Halfpenny Green airfield and NOT Wolverhampton Intergalactic Business Airport or whatever the management desire it to be called these days.

I'm also keen on more thoughts of the flight centre? Any other experiences?

incidentally, whatever happened to Chris Caine. I did my CPL and FI with him, thought he was an excellent (but never on time) instructor. Then I heard he had moved to the flight centre (which I thought would have been a downward step for him), then I hear he's not there anymore either.

Anyone know where he's disappeared to ??

Chris Caine is still at the Flight Centre, infact he is their CFI. Very very experienced Instructor. Spends most of his time CPL/FIC instructing, examines at both.

that's strange because someone who used to instruct there recently told me he had left and was now doing some kind of commercial flying job - that's why I asked really - couldn't imagine him doing that.

He's definitely still here - stood near me eating crisps at the moment!

You see - how can we trust people when they only give us a fraction of the details then expect us to believe they are representing those in question

What flavour ?

Perhaps they got the idea he had left because they didn't realise he has escaped from his dungeon under the tower and moved to the Commercial Building.
