Question Modular with type or Intergrated ?

Have got a mate whose considering taking the fATPL plunge.

Weve been discussing if it would be better to do a modular course(~£30K), together with a 73 type rating and 100 hour line training package another £30k. Total cost ~£60K.

The other option would be doing a OAT Intergrated course for around £60K, and hope to gain employment through their good name and contacts.

Personaly Id go for option one, any thoughts ?

i would definitly take option one... Contacts is good but i think that 100hrs 737 would look good when you apply for a job.. Espesially with all those low cost airlines (in god and bad) that flies 737s grows and seeks new pilots every now and then and wants the pilots to pay for the rating..

I really hope that i don´t need to do that.. My money just poor away since i started the training a little over a year ago *ouch*

But that left seat keeps me going on =)
