Any good flt schools in Oz
When you live....
No - they're all dreadful <g>
Seriously, there are many many schools depending on what you're looking for - some universities offer full time courses including degrees, some schools specialise in overseas students from ab initio to CPL, local aero clubs will do the same but for a more local client base etc etc etc.
Perhaps if you clarify what you're looking for (and where) then the Godzone & Dunnunda forums on pprune might be worth posting on for specific info.
I have been involved with a couple of schools (customer only) so pm me if you want feedback.

Essendon Airport, Melbourne
Hi
Again depending on what you are looking for there are many options. I completed my PPL and hours building over in Oz with Pearson Aviation in Melbourne (www.pearsonaviation.com.au).
They were a great school, cater well for internation students, i.e help with Visas and accomodation, etc... and I was pleased with the quality of teaching, professional atmosphere and the way they helped me with structured hours building before I return for my CPL in the UK.
I suggest if you can that you pay a visit to the chosen city in Australia and visit a few schools to decide where you fit in best.
As in all countries, some schools have nice glossy sales stuff, but go and look for yourself to avoid choosing the wrong place!
PM if you want more info.
Regards,
esvdx

Western Australia Aviation College, located in Perth do a 0-ATPL course very similar if not better than those offered by Oxford or FTE (Flight Training Europe)
I think you finish with about 285ish hours and the cost is £49,500 including accomodation and nearly everything else but not licencing fees, food, visas and medicals etc.
Theres not much info about it on the website but i got all the info at the FLYER exibition last March. Its a fairly newish scheme.
All the best.

Anyone trained with FTA Brisbane, or know anyone who's trained there?
Hows the dip prog offered by them? Got it from researching this forum - they're into it for money siphoning only! Is that true? they sure sound promising (who doesn't huh?!)...but do they really provide what they promise?
Looking forward to personal experiences from students/instructors whov'e trained there, or anyone else with substantiated info on em..
Thanx
