Girl Flyday/Whirly

Having looked at your pics I do recall seeing you at Kemble, We only stopped for 30 mins as we had to get back to Liverpool before sunset. Managed to go to Bourn as well, both venues very busy and the bacon butties were great (how was the cheese Whirly? :) ) I'll keep my eyes open for the next fly-in when i'll come up & say hello.

Really clear vis as everyone described.
I checked the met in the morning and saw FZFG at East Mids but CAVOK at Birmingham and 9999 at Brize.
Looking out of the window it looked about 6000 or so in HZ but sunny so decided that it was going to be one of those days when the fog would burn off so set off to the airfield nice and early.
Got less than 10 miles down the road towards the Trent and I saw the fog bank.
It never cleared, sat in a roadside bacon and egg cabin on the A1 about 12.30 thinking of you all!

I'm certainly up for Compton Abbas or Popham -I agree if it's phood u want, then Compton's my choice too! Popham's a bit limited!!
More blue skies and long runways please!!
PS Had a lovely trip to Gloucester today above 6/8 cloud -could have been the only one in the sky......
