Unhappy Ultimate Sacrilege

A colleague has just brought my attention to a very sad news story for those who have a genuine love of aviation - look at Sub-Sonic Journey here . It's currently in the lower left quadrant (Even FLs for those IFR pilots amongst you ) of the page.

I feel the need for a minute of silence, followed by

OK, I give up - which story?

Other readers - this is a link to the BBC science news page. All I can find is chocolate mousetraps and Afghans flouting fur trade ban.

"Runway is wet, wet, wet"

Shouldn't this be in the 'flying under bridges' thread?

Seriously though, agree it is sad to see. Downloaded the clip of the last AF Concorde departure from JFK on another thread yesterday. Bit of a cheesy send off from Yank ATC, but confess to finding it a little moving - what a saddo.

It is still there, but lower middle now (to the right of the chocolate mousetrap.)

It is a crying shame. I now make sure that the kids look up when we see Concorde go over for the past few times, so they can tell their grandchildren.

Hilico - sorry, it's more central in the bottom of the screen.
