Tragedy at Camphill
There was a fatal take-off accident yesterday at Derby & Lancs Gliding Club, Camphill:

Don't know who it was yet, but I live in Wilmslow and used to fly from Camphill so it's a bit 'close to home'.
My thoughts are with the relatives.

It's strange. I usually refrain from such posts, unless I knew the individual(s) involved. Too many posts on pprune degrade, through subsequent comments about bleeding heart posts etc.
Perhaps I am just getting too cynical.
I hope most of us have a moments thought when we here such news, for the aviator, the family and then one for ourselves.
