Hi Guys,
can anybody offer some advice on where to do a PPL in Ireland. I'm based in Dublin. I know Weston is the nearest airfield to me. Are they any use and do they have any kind of PPL course?
Thanks in advance,
H.S.

Remember as well that there are 2 schools out in Weston. Weston themselves and Aerial advertising. Im not going to get into which is best although I do have my own opinion having been with both of them (send me an e-mail if you want it). Do a search on both names and you'll find many threads.
Good luck

Helter Skelter,
Try and swing the introductory lesson for a clear sunny day - it does happen occasionally in Jan + Feb! See if the instructor can take you east towards Dublin city, then across to Killiney and then back to Leixlip. ATC will probably stick yeese under 1000ft, if that route is possible on the day.
Then you'll be completely hooked for life!
Enjoy.
